Combining Strength and Support for Survivors and Drivers at Auto Club Speedway

CITY OF INDUSTRY, Calif., July 16 2015 – When it comes to fighting cancer, motorsports teams and their supporters are taking the high road this weekend, during R.A.C.E. -- Racers Against Cancer Events – on Saturday, July 18th, 8:30am – 5pm, at Auto Club Speedway in Fontana.  California-based MKW Alloy’s Hostile Wheels and sister brand RSR (Road, Street, Race), will be joining a select group of sponsors to support Team Analog ( ) and its drivers in a showing of solidarity and strength for those with cancer.  The event series is now in its second year and will combine a car show, live autocross and time trial racing all day – admittance is $10 and all proceeds will benefit the St. Jude Cancer Research Fund for Children. president, Billy Bautista, a cancer survivor himself, created the organization as a non-profit racing team dedicated to community leadership and mentoring of youth – with a goal of enriching bright young professionals in all aspects of the automotive industry.  He will be participating in this weekend’s event, along with colleague and fellow Subaru rally driver, Nancy Jacquez, who is currently battling ovarian cancer -- and together will be joining with racing enthusiasts from the track for a day of fun, fellowship and charity.

“When we learned that Billy and his team were creating project cars to showcase an awareness to fight cancer, we wanted to provide support in a meaningful way that might be a symbol of strength and perseverance,” said Bill Koenig, executive vice president for Hostile Wheels, RSR and parent company MKW Alloy.  “Our wheels are built with extra strength and designed to be cool under pressure – the very traits these talented and courageous drivers experience in their lives every day.”

Hostile has provided wheels for track vehicles, as well as Nancy’s Subaru for her continued Rally efforts.  The “H88” is a 15x7 gravel rally wheel, made to withstand full rally competition and motorsports events.  Designed to ventilate and cool the brakes, Hostile wheels are built with extra strength and have also been provided for the team truck rig to be used throughout the season.

Also on display in the vendor alley will be RSR (Road, Street, Race) Wheels, the newly launched luxury division of MKW.  RSR brings both street and race versions to market with three different construction levels that offer the ability for a staggered set-up and include cast wheels with high-end finishing.  RSR lines include:

             Road – (700 Series) boasting a flat face, allowing for big brake upgrades and larger brake calipers;

             Street – (800 Series) an upgrade in both lifestyle and design – offers a mid-range face that will come standard for street design; Street will also sport a deeper concave face profile that works well with rear wheels; utilizes a flow-form manufacturing technique that takes a cast aluminum wheel and lightens it by 30 percent.

             Race – higher technology, lighter weight, forged magnesium & aluminum with custom-built wheel options available -- the newest 900 series will include a “one-piece” forged magnesium alloy and plans to be showed for the first time at the 2015 SEMA Show this November in Las Vegas.

Team Analog is a non-profit racing team dedicated to mentoring youth, community leadership, and charitable acts – spending time traveling the country looking for drivers with a desire to do good deeds and rewarding those good deeds with track time, industry apprenticeships, trips to automotive events, and sponsorship for performance parts.  Since 2002, Team Analog has slowly built a network of personal and commercial alliances that allow the team to help others focus and meet their goals in the automotive scene.   For more information, view
