Partnership to Showcase F-150 Build Inspired by Reach Out Worldwide (ROWW) Takes Year-Long Tour

CITY OF INDUSTRY, Calif., November 22, 2015 – Levels of pride, inspiration and dedication came full circle at the 2016 SEMA show for MKW Alloy Wheels in Las Vegas earlier this month with the international reveal of a transformed F-150 “Search and Rescue” rapid-response vehicle inspired by Reach Out Worldwide (ROWW), built by Armordillo USA, and equipped with MKW M92 18” wheels –now heading on a nationwide tour as a demo vehicle at charity drives and events throughout the country.  The build itself was created to offer the functionality, durability and resiliency needed for first response vehicles, while incorporating a modern, edgy flare that is highly recognizable during emergency rescue operations.

ROWW, founded by the late Paul Walker and now run by CEO Cody Walker, the youngest of the Walker brothers, is a network of professionals with first responder skill-sets who augment local expertise when natural disasters strike to help accelerate relief efforts – and the ability for ROWW to use vehicles that are built through the participation of partnerships like those of MKW Alloy provides the strength and durability needed to facilitate immediate assistance.

According to Raymond Arellano, brand manager for MKW Alloy, working together with Armordillo USA to benefit ROWW opened the door to a purposeful involvement that has far exceeded the functionality of MKW’s off-road wheels.  “Our wheels are made to be strong and lightweight, however utilizing them on first-responder type of vehicles further demonstrates how important the wheels are within the entire package of how a vehicle performs – especially in unique circumstances,” said Arellano.

“These vehicles often need to roll over tough terrain and potentially through deep water – over all types of unstable debris -- and it is imperative that wheels help to maximize the accessibility and withstand all types of topography.  MKW off-road wheels are made to surpass any normal driving conditions and keep those risking their lives safe while supporting emergency needs through any type of disaster,” said Arellano.  “We are looking forward to continuing our involvement with ROWW and supporting the ongoing efforts in which they selflessly partake.”

Expected to be shown during the year at events including King of the Hammers; Tierra Del So; Moab Safari; AutoCon; and Hot Import Nights, Armordillo’s Ford F150 completed transformation is an effective, efficient and safe rapid-response vehicle, outfitted with a WARN Zeon 10S winch, Magnaflow cat-back system 19053, Spyder Auto head and taillights, lifted with a ReadyLift 3.5” SST level kit and completed MKW M92 wheels wrapped in Nitto Tire Ridge Grapplers.  MKW Alloy’s M92 wheels are engineered for off-road use, made of lightweight aluminium alloy with a one piece low-pressure cast construction, and a powder coated finish for durability.  All MKW Alloy off-road wheels are low-pressure cast for the best combination of quality and economy and offered in a range of wheel styles and finishes.  For photos:

Reach Out WorldWide (ROWW) - consisting of skilled volunteers - is a non-profit registered 501(c)3 organization. While part of a relief team responding to the massive earthquakes that devastated Haiti on January 12, 2010; Actor/Producer Paul Walker saw a gap between the availability of skilled resources and the requirement for such personnel in post-disaster situations. Following the trip he contacted a group of his friends to assist him in forming ROWW with the purpose of filling this unmet need.

ROWW is a network of committed professionals with first responder skill-set (including project management, logistics, heavy equipment operation, EMT, paramedic, firefighting, and healthcare, etc). The volunteers provide their expertise when disasters strike and augment local resources with the goal of accelerating relief efforts on a worldwide basis. ROWW has developed Standard Operating Procedures that facilitate arriving quickly, clearing access, providing basic necessities and medical assistance to ease the survivors' pain and bringing hope in the bleakest of circumstances.  For more information:
